The short version

We collect as little as possible. We ask for your email and a district name only when you request a district or sign up for change alerts. Payments are handled by Stripe, so we never see your card number. Files you upload are read by Google's Gemini AI and are not kept by us. We do not sell your personal information. You can email us anytime to see or delete your data.

Who we are

This website, schoolyearcalendar.com, is operated by Whetstone Group LLC (“School Year Calendar,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

• Your email address and a district name only when you ask us to add a district, or when you sign up for “alert me if a date changes.” We store this in a Google Sheet through our automation so we can follow up.
• Payment details are collected and processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
• Calendars you upload are sent to Google's Gemini AI to read the dates. We do not permanently keep your uploaded file. We keep only the extracted dates, and only as long as needed to deliver your calendar.
• Standard server logs are kept by Cloudflare, our hosting and content-delivery provider, as part of running the site (for example, basic request information used for security and reliability).
• Privacy-friendly analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand overall traffic (such as page views, referring sites, and country). It does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites or build a profile of you.

How we use your information

We use your email and district name to add the district you asked for, to let you know when it is ready, and to send change alerts you signed up for. We use uploaded calendars only to read the dates and build your calendar file. We use payment information, through Stripe, only to take payment for your download.

The companies that help us run the site

We rely on a few trusted services to operate. We share only what each one needs to do its job:

• Stripe processes payments. Stripe handles your card details directly.
• Cloudflare hosts the site and delivers it quickly and securely.
• Google provides the Gemini AI that reads calendar dates and the Google Sheets where we store district requests and alert sign-ups.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share information only with the service providers above, only so the site can work.

Your choices and your rights

You can ask us to show you the information we have about you, or to delete it, at any time. Just email [email protected] and we will take care of it. If you signed up for change alerts and want to stop, email us and we will remove you.

Children

This site is meant for parents, teachers, and other adults who manage school calendars. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. The current version is effective June 3, 2026.
